2011 IKA North American Championships

It’s Official! Puerto Rico will be holding the 2011 IKA North American Course Racing Championships. The competition will be set in San Juan, Puerto Rico on July 13th-17th, 2011. The competition will offer $15,000 in price money, and 615 IKA ranking points.

The Championship will have some of the top racers from around the world battling for the title in what usually is 15 to 25 knots of wind with warm turquoise water.  Also the competitors will be able to enjoy many of the things that Puerto Rico has to offer; great food, nightlife and welcoming people. Puerto Rico is an easy destination to get to, with many direct flights coming from all over the world; and since it is part of the USA, no passport is necessary if you are an American citizen.

We expect to have the best racing possible, by inviting Markus Schwendtner from Germany, the Executive Secretary of the International Kiteboarding Association as our Race Director; and also  Bruno De Wannemaeker from Belgium, President of IFCA, for Head of Jury.
